Hospice Volunteers

Hospice Volunteers are an essential part of the Hospice Team working to supplement the delivery of services for those with a terminal illness and their loved ones. At the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice you will become part of a team, a family and a community that recognizes your gifts and talents. Qualified adults (at least 18 years old) with a commitment to helping others can apply for a Hospice Volunteer opportunity. Volunteer Coordinators skillfully conduct the preliminary interviews, screening and orientation, plus a full range of ongoing training opportunities to ensure the satisfaction and success of all participants. Volunteers serve in many capacities, a few of the specialized roles are identified below. We are always adding to the list.
