A Commitment to Serve

alt

We, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice (SSRCH) specialize in providing hospice, palliative care, grief support and advanced care planning services at the highest level of customer satisfaction, a World Class organization. We have a commitment to maintain the dignity, identify choices and improve the quality of life for a patient with a terminal or life-limiting illness and their caregivers, in the setting of their choice; adding value to our community and network of service providers.

In 2006 and 2007, over a thousand area residents, organizations, and foundations contributed to the capital campaign making the building of our Hospice Center a reality. Hundreds of community members and organizations continue to support our efforts to serve patients regardless of their ability to pay through our Patient Care Fund.

We provide the following Community Services:

  • Tours of the Hospice Center are available at any time.
  • Accommodations for your club or organization’s meeting (space, dining, refreshments, audio visual equipment, and other assistance).
  • Educational workshops, seminars and presentations.
  • Advance Health Care Planning Facilitation available to assist with completion of Health Care Power of Attorney document.
  • Professional Advisory Team and Ethics Committee meet for the purpose of continuous improvement and education.
  • Physician Newsletter distributed quarterly with the latest bulletins and research regarding End-of-Life Care.
  • Community appreciation annual event for our service provider network and community-at-large.
